From my chair to yours, I see you. Yesterday I wrote about a sentence you can hang. Today I want the same sentence where you can smell it.
The frosted jar is a six-ounce scented candle with a wooden lid. The wreath is the one you already know from this house: pink roses, cream dahlias, small blue flowers, lavender, and eucalyptus. In the middle, in a hand that does not hurry: I’m really glad you’re here.
Light it before you fix anything
Put the lid to the side. Light the wick. Let the first minute belong to the room and not to the list. A candle will not solve a hard week. It can mark the hour as one you are allowed to sit inside. When you are done, the lid goes back on and the jar stays on the table like a note you have not thrown away.
It is made when you order. If this is the light you want beside the chair, it is the frosted jar candle in the shop. I’m really glad you’re here.
