You do not need a ceremony. You need a chair and a little honesty. Here are seven ways I use Deck No. #40, printed in the USA, from this same mustard seat.
From my chair to yours, I see you treating the box like it might grade you. It will not. Anxiety support cards are companions. They are not homework.
Seven ways to pull
- Morning draw. One card with tea. Read it twice. Leave it on the pillow.
- Loud-minute draw. When worry feels too loud, shuffle without looking. Trust the first card your hand stops on.
- Night draw. Lamp only. Same card can stay until dawn.
- Two-chair draw. Pull for a friend. Read it to them. Chair to chair support out loud.
- Walk-around draw. Carry one card in your pocket. Touch it at the grocery store.
- Stack of three. Seen. Safe. Supported. One card for each word.
- QR draw. Pull a card, then open https://mychairtoyours.com/calm and let the matching audio sit with you.
A story from the first week
I pulled the same card four days in a row and laughed at myself. Apparently I needed that sentence. The deck was not broken. I was being followed around by a kindness I kept setting down.
A grounding before you shuffle
Feet on the floor. One breath. One hand on the box. Ask, what would feel supportive to hear? Then pull. Do not interview the card. Let it be short.
Affirmation
I can take one sentence at a time. That is a whole way to live.
If a card opens something bigger than a sentence, close the box and reach for a person. Open Help worldwide and use the line for your country if you are in crisis. You are not alone.
