Hot take, but soft: being kind is more impressive than being busy.
Busy gets the applause. The full calendar, the late nights, the “I haven’t stopped all day.” But think about the people you remember most. Was it the busiest person you know, or the one who noticed when you were quiet?
A few more soft hot takes from the chair: - Answering a text with “I’m thinking of you” is productive. - Leaving on time is not a lack of ambition. - A slow lunch is a meeting with yourself. - Checking on a friend counts as getting something done today. - The people who make you feel safe are the real overachievers.
You don’t have to choose between doing well and being kind. But if the day only has room for one, kind is never the wrong pick.
